What if women supported women and people with mental illnesses got the help they actually needed. Not left on the streets with an already ill mind?

A note on PTSD:

when you have post traumatic stress disorder and you relive the same traumatic events again and again in the same doomed cycle

you can mentally check out.

You can dissociate, fantasize, become mentally ill.

But the thing with illness is that you can get better with treatment.

Its just that there is so much stigma and fear surrounding mentally ill patients.

Few are willing to help. Just awkward glances and fearful gazes.

Its down right devastating and I will admit it is scary if you have never sympathized with an ill person before, but, seeing a person as yourself can change an entire outlook.

That could have easily been me if things were different. If I grew up differently, went down a different path, met different people, and just did not have any support

Just like there are levels of severity to a physical illness, the same can be said for illnesses of the mind as well. You can not do this alone, and you don't have to. Please seek help - real help. Seek a guidance counselor, support group or online service of some kind. There are free programs available if you need help.

You are worth saving.

I am going to put together some services where you can reach out to  people that can help you, helpful apps and other ways you can properly care for your mind, body, and soul because they are all connected. Even if you think your mind is a steel trap,

You will cry and experience loss.

Learn how to take care of yourself so that when that heartache comes, you know you will make it through. You can change the way you see the world but it takes consistency, even when you fall off and have your bad days you know that you will be alright. Because....you know how to treat yourself right.

You will learn to love your mind as well as your body. The way you think and hold a conversation, your work ethic, or willingness to try again when things get hard. Learn to love the little things about yourself and others because one day those little things won't be so little.

You are worth saving. I'm going to put together some services where you can reach out to  people that can help you, helpful apps and other ways you can properly care for your mind, body, and soul because they are all connected.
